Strap yourself in! Wheels for Wellness hits the road Saturday, September 30, 2017.
Picture this: a one-of-a-kind fundraising event that combines the fun and exhilaration of a road trip adventure, with the luxury and elegance of exotic cars, and directly benefits children’s health and wellness in your community.
The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation are proud to bring you a unique opportunity. This full-day event is part car rally, part show & shine, part after-party, and all about the kids.
The day begins with a show & shine at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium where participating drivers will showcase their luxury vehicles to the public. Guests will include many kids and families who receive world-class care at the Stollery Children’s Hospital and vital support through the Mental Health Foundation.
A limited number of participants will then safely navigate to and through a series of rally checkpoints at sponsor locations in the Edmonton region. There, they will have to complete a number of physical and mental challenges to gain points and move forward.
Once the kilometres have been racked up, drivers will motor to an exclusive after-party at a secret location where participants, sponsors and other special guests will mix and mingle in style, and enjoy fine food and fun entertainment. And before everyone runs out of gas, we will crown the second annual Wheels for Wellness winning team.
The organizing committee of Wheels for Wellness plans to raise an estimated amount of $312,500 in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation. Proceeds from this year’s event will fund mental health support programs in our community and at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. The costs associated with the event are not expected to exceed $112,405.

The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation advances and transforms children’s health care by funding excellence at the Stollery Children’s Hospital: specialized equipment; sub-specialty education to train the brightest medical minds; research to discover new treatments and cures; and specialized pediatric programs that enhance family-centred care, and patient and family outcomes at the Stollery.
The Mental Health Foundation is an Edmonton-based non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma of mental illness and addiction and to fostering mental health in our communities. We work to improve the mental health support landscape within the greater Edmonton area by raising funds to support community programs, education, research and facility enhancements.
